Are you spending hours scrubbing your RV’s bathroom clean, only to notice your streaky shower door or dirty shower tracks after you’re done?

Cleaning shower doors and tracks doesn’t have to be hard. It's true you can't just grab a sponge, some soap, and get to work. It takes the right tools, technique, and a high-performance cleaner to ensure everything is clean and sparkles the way you want it to.

Today we’re going to show you exactly how you can make sure your RV’s bathroom stays beautiful throughout your RV adventure - and after.

What causes dirty shower doors and tracks?

Before we get down to the perfect shower door cleaning solution, we have to discuss what causes that build-up of grimey grossness in your shower.

One of the main culprits is the soap scum that builds up after each shower you take. Soap scum and mineral deposits from hard water all accumulate on your shower walls, doors, and in the tracks.

Once this begins to build up, it can be even more challenging. With a few simple steps and the right cleaner, you can stay ahead of these problems.

To rid you and your family of this unwanted soil, arm yourself with the right tools and know-how to get your shower and tracks clean.

What tools do you need to clean shower doors and tracks?

These bathroom cleaning supplies will help you make quick work of any scum-covered surface you come across in your bathroom.

The Gabe’s Pride Bathroom Cleaner quickly penetrates and loosens the soap scum and the microfiber cloth is the perfect tool for cleaning glass without leaving streaks. The shower track brush (or grout brush) will allow you to get into the awkward angles on shower tracks. This brush has longer bristles to get into tight spots and a contoured handle so you don't ruin your knuckles.

Now that you have the tools, the next step is learning how to use them correctly.

4 steps to cleaning your RV’s shower doors

1. A little goes a long way

Squeeze a small amount of bathroom cleaner onto a pre-wet microfiber cloth. You don’t need too much because Gabe’s Pride Bathroom Cleaner allows you to clean comfortably with only a tiny amount of cleaner.

2. Wash from the bottom working up

Starting from the bottom and working to the top, get to work washing the handle and the glass on the doors. Wash the shower doors from the bottom up to prevent any streaking from happening. If you wash from the top down, the cleaner will run down the shower door, having a longer dwell time down below. By the time you get to the lower sections, there will be clean streaks.

3. Clean your RV Shower Tracks

Squeeze a small amount of bathroom cleaner onto your shower track and grout brush before you get started. You don’t need too much, thanks to our unique bathroom cleaner formula.

Start working the brush through the shower track to help break down any dirt or soil that got stuck. Repeat this until you’ve removed all the debris and scum from the track.

4. Always rinse well

Rinse well with water after you’ve finished cleaning to ensure you’ve washed all the soap and grime down the drain.

How to prevent a build-up of grime on your RV’s shower doors and tracks

Hard water spots appear when water dries on your shower glass. The best way to keep your glass clean is to remove the water before it dries on it.

You can prevent hard water spots and grime build-up by:

  • Using a squeegee in the shower to wipe down the glass
  • Always drying your shower after use or after cleaning
  • Wiping down your glass with a microfiber cloth or towel after your shower
  • Running your bathroom fan to reduce humidity
  • Installing a water softener to help reduce mineral build-up
